It’s hard to believe that we are now more than halfway through 2014!
The gang here at Mercury Mambo has had an extraordinary year. We truly hit the ground running preparing for SXSW both as event producers and panelists. Mambo brand ambassadors delivered tasty Kellogg’s snack treats to Fiesta San Antonio go-ers for a second year. And Agency partners Liz and Becky handled speaking duties at two terrific conferences, the Hispanic Market Symposium, hosted by the Austin Ad Fed and the NGLC New Generation Latino Consortium #TotalMarketTrends14 in Los Angeles.
Below are highlights from three new clients and/or projects that experienced the Mambo Magic this year.
Working in conjunction with LA-based experiential agency MKTG, the team from Mambo helped bring to life the 9-day brand activation. From fabrication to staffing, the Mambo team delivered. Mambo’s on-the-ground Austin resources were critical to the success of event. We love working with great partners and this event proved “teamwork makes the dream work!”
February 22, 2014 marked the inaugural “Illuminate Austin” Walk on behalf of Safeplace Austin. We were honored when asked by Safeplace, an Austin-based non-profit dedicated to ending sexual and domestic violence through safety, healing, prevention and social change, to create an event that would not only help mark their 40th anniversary but also appeal to a larger millennial participant and donor base. The concept “Illuminate Austin” and the branding you see below was designed to shed light on the cause with positivity and empowerment.
With the support of Honorary Event Chairperson Luci Baines Johnson, the event exceeded participation goals and raised over $130,000!
The Foundation for a Better Life is a non-profit organization founded in 2000 to promote “positive behavioral values” such as honesty, caring and helping others. You have no doubt seen their public service campaigns on TV, radio and across the country on outdoor billboards. Here are a few of their most recent outdoor billboards:
Realizing the tremendous need and opportunity to reach multicultural millennials with their positive messages, The Foundation for a Better Life asked Mercury Mambo to create a series of television scripts designed to reach the U.S. Latino market. While The Foundation has created Spanish-language adaptations of popular PSA campaigns, this marked the first time scripts were developed based on Hispanic insights. The scripts were a resounding hit and are currently on the slate for production later this year.
The Mercury Mambo team is currently working full-steam ahead on the upcoming People en Español Festival, August 30-31, 2014 in San Antonio, TX. Join us there if you’d like to see the Mambo Magic in action and stay turned for more exciting highlights!
