Yahoo! returned to the 2014 SXSW festival with a goal of becoming a top attraction for badgeholders and the SXSW audience. Located at the Brazos Hall, the Yahoo! House was at the epicenter of all the action and aimed to offer a unique Yahoo! experience. Agency partner MKTG was tasked to capture and bring to life their key message of “Inspire & Entertain” for a full week at SXSW.
In collaboration with MKTG, Mercury Mambo created and developed a Yahoo! environment that stayed true to its mission and that transformed from day to night into an inspiring, entertainment hub. Lounges, nail stations, live discussions with influencers, interactive screens, connecting stations and hit concerts where pivotal in how Yahoo! inspired and entertained their audience. With bold typography, clean and modern esthetics and the Yahoo! purple, the space itself became an unforgettable branding environment.
Outside of all the activities, the Yahoo! House successfully brought to life their website and was ranked #3 as “Top 8 Lounges at SXSW” by ZankRank! and featured big acts like Debbie Harry, 2 Chainz and David Pogue, co-founder of Twitter.
